Avalara Exhibition Stand – Beach Theme Design for Retail Technology Show & Europe 

Avalara are a global company providing software for automated tax compliance. They help companies who operate in different international markets to be compliant in their tax provision when selling in different territories.  

They required a consistent look with their American counterpart who had delivered the beach theme at their events in the states, which has gone down well. They wanted to replicate as much as they can, using the same space for graphics, a bamboo counter with a surf board top. They also wanted a beach style theme for the flooring. 

Which event did they attend? 

Their first stand of 2025 was Retail Technology Show, they also had three more shows throughout the year in both Barcelona and Paris.  

Initial Brief 

Avalara US had come up with a successful theme that they wanted replicated in the European market. After working together for a couple of years independently but keeping the strong orange theme, Avalara reached out for RTS to see if Be Exhibitions could do the same theme for them as the American side. The stand-out piece was the bamboo counter with surf board top that they wanted delivered better than the American side which was printed bamboo and a top that didn’t cover the edges of the counter. They also wanted a solution that will work across the multiple shows they had lined up in their calendar  

How Stand met Needs 

We delivered a stand that was strong on the beach theme, incorporating printed sand floor covering with a driftwood feature cut, a counter that was a hybrid of custom and modular, utilising real bamboo and 3D logo lighting to create a solid, high-end unit. A custom sprayed surfboard top to keep the beach theme going. Because of it’s modularity, the stand delivered at RTS was 3.6m high then because of regulations was easily dropped to 2.4m for their time at Shoptalk Europe in Barcelona.
